CP-SUB with 1,500 ml scaffold regulating biomass via sequential bleeding

CellReactor is a novel perfusion packed-bed Continuous-Perfusion-Single-Use-Bioreactor in development designed for steady state continuous cultivation of high density adherent as well as suspension type of mammalian cells for expression of biologics. CellReactor is ready-to-use, pre-assembled and facilitates integrated also Single-Use-Sensor's all in a pre-sterilized and complete package. Designed for continues expression of product or proliferation of biomass by sequential product harvest or cell harvest performed by the integrated diaphragm pump. 

The CellReactor-36 is designed with integrated CerPhragm LASER guided diaphragm Single-Use-Pump driven by the Eirene software and Clotho Drive Unit and cultivation controlled by your own suitable Process-Control-Systems (PCS).

CellReactor-36 general specification:

  • PET scaffold, matrix harbouring either suspension or adherent mammalian cells 
  • Polyamide cover integrated 100% fluid tight with vessel
  • Polyamide reactor body integrating two envelopes filled with polyester fibre matrix for enhanced bio-compatibility cultivating either adherent or suspension cells
  • Build in high performance diaphragm pump facilitating advanced combined operation such as; inoculation, media re-circulation, cell bleeding, harvest function
  • Efficient elimination of bubble to cell contact and kLa values above 40 sparging with air
  • Efficient head space to liquid surface contact for efficient CO2 control
  • Delivered high precision E-beam irradiated in dual polyester foil bags

CellReactor-36 facilitate one Melpomene Air-Operated-Diaphragm-Positive-Displacement (AODPD) Single-Use-Pump (SUP):

  1. One integrated SUP for cell inoculation, cell distribution inside the scaffold, harvest of product, harvest of cells for biomass control, harvest of cells as product

CellReactor-36 facilitates the use of these Single-Use-Sensor's (SUS):

  1. One pH OneFerm sensor
  2. One non-invasive VisiWell for standard VisiFerm DO Re-Usable-Sensor (RUS)
  3. One port pre-installed with bio-mass sensor
  4. one port for CO2 SUS
  5. Extra ports for optional pre-installed Glucose sensor 

CellReactor-36 further integrate Single-Use-Sensor's (SUS) for measuring:

  • Temperature via PCS sensor in non-invasive well
  • Internal media re-circulation mass flow rotameter – manual read-out of 0,4 - 10 litre/min
  • Matrix pressure drop – manual readout 0 – 1,000 mm WC
  • Matrix pressure drop – 0 – 1,000 mm WC with electric sensor
  • Media level with insulated SS electrodes
