150 ml CellCore prep for CellTank-34
Design of the CellCore concept as used also in CellTank took place from 2008 to 2014.
CellTank-34 as a prototype used a standard OD 137 mm beaker and nylon 3D printed parts. Thousands of hours was invested in design and testing. All design work performed in SolidWorks and with FluidWorks/Cosmos for the CFD analysis.
The idea came through our many years of work with porous materials for filtration purposes. Controlled filtration efficiency not being closed to 100% but much lower was the key to harbour both suspension and adherent mammalian cells.
